Friday night we took the little one to the
Haunted Habitats event hosted by the Missouri Department of Conservation. The theme this year was Missouri Animals A to Z. The goal of this event is to teach kids of all ages about nature. There were lots of games and prizes, a craft center, live music, hot cocoa, hot apple cider and delicious salty-sweet kettle corn. The trails were all lit by camping lanterns and a multitude of hand carved jack-o’-lanterns!

Even the fire tower was decorated for the event! We all had a good time.

Events like these are a great way to get kids excited or at the very least exposed to nature! Even though our goblin was a bit small to really get the most out of the event, we’ll be going back.
