- Hello and welcome! I’m Kim the jewelry lover behind Leatherwood Designs. I really became obsessed with gemstones and sterling silver in graduate school when I took a metal smithing class as a stress reliever. Since then I have taken a few classes, but I am largely self-taught, spending hours learning new techniques and simply exploring the art of handcrafting jewelry. I am inspired by all things natural and my designs usually reflect that. I'm glad you've come along to see the things that inspire me and watch the creative process.
